Eliminating Damaged Threads

The Problem:

A customer’s stainless steel fasteners are galling and threads are damaged when Nylon insert lock nuts are installed.

RIE’s Solution:

We applied a clear, dry-film lubricant to the lock nuts, which eliminated thread galling and provides uniform clamp load.
