COATING Specifications
RIE is approved, trusted and preferred by some of the largest manufacturers in the country to adhere to the strictest of coatings specifications. We also work closely with customers to develop custom specifications for their parts.
Quality specifications improve an uncoated item by adding certain characteristics to the part with a properly chosen and applied coating. Corrosion resistance, wear resistance, lubrication, anti-gall, anti-stick, and color are major improvements that can be engineered into the manufacture of an item. Consideration must be given to use conditions, base metal, configuration, clearance, tolerance, and economy before creating a written specification.
